NFL Week 9 Bets of the Week.

Last Sunday I went 6-1 in my overall bets. I won $125 off of a 5-team parlay which included:
Redskins -7
Saints +3
Ravens -6.5
Panthers -3.5
Eagles -7

I also correctly picked Seattle +5.5 over San Francisco (which to be perfectly honest with you I had no idea why SF was even favored). The one game I missed was Tampa Bay +1.5 over Dallas (although they were 19 yards away from victory hah...they lost by 4).

This week I decided to attempt a 7-teamer with these following games and why I feel I should dominate once again (if the Gambling Gods allow for it which as usual is highly unlikely):

Houston Texans @ Minnesota Vikings (-4.5): The Vikes need to salvage their season and this is a game they need to have, especially having 2 weeks to think about their debacle at Chicago giving up 48 points. Final Score: Minnesota 21 Houston 14

Baltimore Ravens (+1.5) @ Cleveland Browns: You never know which Browns' team is gonna show up and the Ravens' D is as good as anyone's in the biz. Final Score: Baltimore 17 Cleveland 13

Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears (-12.5): To be fair, the Lions have played much better the last couple of weeks but they don't matchup well against the Bears at all. Not to mention you have to compund this with a Bears' D which is not happy about letting the Vikes go roughshod on them allowing 41 even though they won. Final Score: Chicago 28 Detroit 10

New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills (-5.5): I don't like betting against my team but let's be real, Buffalo has the Jets' number, especially at Orchard Park. Final Score: Buffalo 24 NY Jets 14

Jacksonville Jaguars (-7.5) @ Cincinnati Bengals: The Jags are such a pain in the ass to bet on because they are as schizo as it gets in the NFL. With that being said however, this Bengals' team is simply a mess that cannot be fixed right now. Ryan Fitzpatrick has been awful, their defense in turn gets demoralized and it's overall just bad. Even Jacksonville's D game would be enough for them to cover. Final Score: Jacksonville 24 Cincinnati 3

Dallas Cowboys (+8) @ New York Giants: This is the classic trap game especially Vegas-wise. Giants coming off an impressive interconference road victory over the Steelers, while the Cowboys struggled against a good Tampa Bay team (but emerging victorious). While the Cowboys are without Tony Romo, for some reason or another the Giants don't tend to do well when they're the favorite at home, especially such a big favorite like this in a division rivalry. It's too fishy to me. Final Score: NY Giants 27 Dallas 20

Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5) @ Seattle Seahawks: Seattle had a morale-building victory last week @ San Francisco but let's be real...Philly is much better. Also, if Lofa Tapultu (or however you spell that LB's name) doesn't play because of his groin injury, it's gonna be a long day for Seattle's defense and Philly shouldn't have a problem covering, let alone winning this one. Final Score: Philadelphia 31 Seattle 14

I'm An Idiot.

So my Crapple saga takes a new turn.

I get sent into the managers' office once again (this time because I was in the back chillin as usual while I was supposed to be on the sales floor). Given my state of how I've basically shut it down since the Incident, this really came as no surprise. This time, the boss of the bosses is there and he's breakin it down to me that basically I'm on my final overall warning in regards to the next time you fuck up in any way shape or form that I'm gonna get fired. In other words, I'm standing on an ice cube hah. The difference between the boss of the bosses and some of the other managers that work at the Whorsevelt Field store is that I actually think he's chill and he can relate to me. He knows that I've basically shut it down and don't necessarily want to be in the environment. I was impressed that he knew what was good hah.

Instead of hearin typical management zzzzz however, he recommends that I begin looking for a new part-time job (which I have but it ain't that easy) and that I probably need a break from it all. I tell him that it's this particular store that I feel like I need to escape from or a new position...

Then he tells me something which makes me for a while feel like I'm a clown. He explains to me that the Faggot Incident wasn't as serious as the management made it out to be. Apparently, all I had to do was sign a Harassment Policy paper which acknowledged I said an inappropriate word. I don't know how serious it ever became because the issue was considered dead to me after I asked for a transfer and was told no. They never got back to me about it either...so I took it for what it was and shut myself down. So in essence, had I asked them more questions it might've been possible that I wasn't really as fucked as I apparently was. Which now makes me feel a bit foolish...but at the same time I'm trying to leave anyway because I need to concentrate on my career path anyway.

Fuck.

Sidenotes:

1) If you don't see/hear from me anytime soon, I'm on a hiatus until either October 25th or October 31st. My phone is off bc my pops hasn't paid the damn family plan yet, and unless something is REALLY poppin off, there's no reason for me to go out right now. Wasting time/money is not DK. Fall Back 08 season in full effect.

2) The Gambling Gods are especially vicious right now, I must be on a 11 game losing streak. And as usual, the more money you put up the more they're likely to fuck you.

3) The Dow Jones is retarded. If I had guap, I'd be buyin out the ass right now.

4) Apparently the Barack is up in electoral college votes 264-163 or some shit. I seen it on CNBC (on at my internship). If that's the case...complete domination. Oh, and I won't have to vote either.

Debates & DK.

I've written before on here how I'm not politically inclined or tend to pay attention to politics in any way, shape or form. And there are times in which actually I do try to get interested...but it just does not work for me. It should be a big deal to me that I have a say as to who's gonna be elected and what they plan on doing. However, obviously politicians for the most part are speakers and not doers...and if they are doin somethin, its prostitutes (Eliot Spitzer) or cheatin on a cancer-striken wife with someone else (John Edwards) so who the hell knows what to believe these days. I mean, what they do in their personal lives shouldn't really be anyone's business but if they can't keep their morals in check and let it blow up in their faces...of course it's gonna have an effect on that person's perception- regardless of what they've done in office before.

With that said, last night I did try to watch the debate, I really did. The topic was on the economy, which I sorta care about because it's guap we're talkin about here. Guap= important in my life and to everyone's lives. After about twenty minutes however, I just couldn't watch anymore. Both candidates had decent ideas on what to do (I don't remember them off-hand) but the majority of the time was spent with off-topic shit such as bills and votes placed by themselves or their opponent in which most had nothing to do with the economic situation. Plus, at the end of the day, the only people debates really are gonna interest are the swing voters. Most people are gonna elect whichever party they feel most inclined to already, regardless of candidate. Democrats are gonna go with Obama 99.99% of the time and Republicans are gonna go with McCain 99.99% and are gonna have their biases. I'm sure each side is gonna listen to what their future vote says and view it positively and the opponent's view negatively no matter what and say "Ohh shit my nigga killed it OBAMA 08 SON".

My dad nevertheless got all over me for not caring about the debate going on some tangent bullshit. "THIS IS YOUR FUTURE YOU SHOULD CARE." Well yes, I try to but at the end of the day, it's not what they say today that determines their legacy, it's what they actually end up doing (if they get to be president) that does. "KIDS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY ARE INTERESTED WHILE YOU'RE NOT, IT'S A SHAME." I'm sure that most kids 18-24 are and more power to them. Like I said, both candidates are saying what they need to say so we can hear them out, but should we truly LISTEN? My dad though will turn around and make that statement a double standard however if I were to go for example "KIDS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY DRINK." Live above the influence.

I almost feel that these debates for most of America are fillers. Honestly the most important debates are the ones within the actual parties themselves (i.e Hilary vs. Obama) because in my mind, whoever you choose for at that time then you deem fit to be president; it's like granting them a free pass for your presidential vote anyway no matter how many debates were to be had.

Sidenote: Me and my boys discussed this at decent length last month and the way people are looking up to Obama is kinda scary (near Messiah level...if you don't believe me, look at all the damn Obama shirts goin around in the hood...sheeeit I even found an Obama watch for $9.99). I feel like at times there's almost too much hype surrounding the dude and were he to be the next president, his moves are gonna be followed extra closely and the minute he fucks up....EVERYONE is gonna be up his ass.

That's my 3 cents. Keep the change.

And so on.

Fall (Back) Season.

Fuck it all.

Summer came and went, it was the least successful summer that I've had since 2005...sheesh that's been a long time. My swag had some moments here and there; unfortunately I never really reached a point where it all came to fruition. Sure, I would go out and do my thing but I've started to fall back into my old habits which is the reason why my swag was on the level of Ja Rule's career post-Holla Holla.

1) The call-back/text-back. I'm pretty damn good at gettin someone's number from the bar. Well, being intoxicated, you need to be. Then again, there'll be some mornings you wake up and you look at your phone and go "who the FUCK is this again??" A couple days go past and then that number "expires". Too late.

2) Pressing. Why do I get frustrated when I see other ppl doin their thing better than I am? It's like watching the Mets' bullpen go out there, implode, and then tryin to salvage whatever mess there is left, but the mess is so bad (drunk as fuck/just want to go home) that you go 3-and-out of the spot with only the palm of your hand as your friend with benefits (accessories sold seperately).

So with that in mind, I have decided that in this season of football, postseason baseball, hockey (yeah I might go to a couple Rangers games this year screw it) and basketball (ugh Knicks...)...I'm gonna just fall back. Whatever happens, happens. Besides, I can save quite a few breaths, which would be good for the environment and I can save those for kickboxing/resuming my jogging/work powerwalks. I'm even gonna cut back on my drinking habits, because the only success I'm getting with that is waking up like Weezy only to fall right back to sleep on the bus at work. Sober? No chicks. Drunk? No chicks. Hence, giving proceeds to the Liver Damage and LIRR Dumb as Rocks (LYK OMG) Suicide Alert prob wouldn't be in my best interest.

I'm posting an APB for anybody who knows of a fuckin part-time job I could find because I need to get the fuck out of CrApple. Though, I must say I am proud of myself for FINALLY getting an iPod (an 80gb for $120 refreshed, bitch).

Sidenote: Workin at CrApple isn't even bad. If I had to give it a report card, it would go as follows:

Roosevelt Field: D
Managers: D- (2 of them save it from being an F)
Customers: C+
Employees I work with: A-
Gwap Run: C (but honestly, how they distribute the pay is bullshit)

I'm sure if I worked at a different store or even worked in a different position, I'd enjoy my experience a helluva lot more. But I won't get in depth with this today...when I quit whenever the fuck that is, don't worry, I'll give you the scoop. Not to mention...I'm on my final warning for being late. And they hate how I was on Facebook for fuckin 3 minutes right after I checked my e-mail and shit. C'MONNNN NAPOLEON! (that's who I call one of the managers I dislike and he's some 5'4 stubby dude)

And so on.
